Mosaic Canyon


Here are some of the highlights from Mosaic Canyon in Death Valley. I took over 300 photos on this trip and I haven’t sorted through all of them yet, but these are the ones that have stood out so far:

Marble-like walls

I like the jagged look of these rocks contrasting with the smooth rock beneath it:

Even this rubble pile of rock seems arranged by an artist’s hand:

These look like some awesome mountain biking trails, but they are goat trails. No bikes are allowed back in this canyon.

The view down toward Stovepipe Wells. This erosion formation is called an alluvial fan. There are several of these throughout Death Valley.
